DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS
Court Member tribes of NCICS are currently working to develop and adopt Domestic Violence ordinances in order to provide culturally competent services to tribal members. Once adopted, the court will be able to hear cases regarding domestic violence and receive cases deferred from the County of Mendocino. NCICS has developed a Batterer’s Intervention Program which was approved in 2015 by the County of Mendocino.
Please contact the court for information on this program.
These programs are funding by the US Department of Justice, Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) and the Bureau of Justice Affairs (BJA)
