HEALING TO WELLNESS COURT
The vision of the Adult Healing to Wellness Court is to create an equitable judicial system for all tribal members regardless of differences in association, language, color, or creed in Mendocino County as well as to provide equitable and culturally competent judicial services to all associated tribal members, which in turn provides the opportunity for personal growth, education, effective care, community engagement, and social justice.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS
Court Member tribes of NCICS are currently working to develop and adopt Domestic Violence ordinances in order to provide culturally competent services to tribal members. Once adopted, the court will be able to hear cases regarding domestic violence and receive cases deferred from the County of Mendocino. NCICS has developed a Batterer’s Intervention Program which was approved in 2015 by the County of Mendocino.
